From cold-cured hash rosin to micron-specific ice water extract, there are multiple textures and consistencies of solventless extract that are fun, intriguing, and desirable. Among the most visually stunning of these forms, Live Hash Rosin Jam is also one of the most enjoyable to consume. While it is very similar to Live Hash Rosin in its chemical makeup, the alternative texture can be an exciting and creative modality for exploring cannabis consumption.
We sourced GAK Getaway from Ice Cold Seeds in Michigan, specialty breeders of hash genetics that self-describe as hashmakers making seeds for hashmakers. GAK Getaway is a cross of Pie Dough, a relentless resin machine, well known in the community and also one half of some of our in-house favorites, like Pie Eyed. However, the cut of Pie Dough used in this project is different from the one popularized in Maine by the legendary MegaRaw Melts and Crystal Rose Seed Co. This particular Pie Dough was pollinated with a GAK male plant. The moniker “GAK” is an abbreviated fusion of its parents: G13 Haze and AK47.
While many of our phenotypes produced the gassy, hazy, and musky aromas expected of this lineage, our hashmakers describe their selected pheno of GAK Getaway as uniquely fruity and tropical, with a touch of funk – similar to a paw paw. If you’ve never had a paw paw or even heard of paw paw, think of this as your first taste! This funky fruit is native to North America, but has the surprisingly rich flavor of mango and banana – delicious! Harvested at precisely the right time, fresh frozen, then washed and pressed with care, GAK Getaway delivers a transporting sensory experience to match its uplifting, energetic, and mood-enhancing energy.
